From photos to a single PDF

Forms, landlords, schools and visa portals often ask for documents “as one PDF” – but what you have are photos from your phone: the front and back of an ID card, pages of a handwritten assignment, receipts, or a set of scans. This JPG to PDF converter places each image on its own page and saves a single, tidy PDF.

How to convert JPG to PDF

  1. Add images. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP and AVIF are accepted. Select several at once or drop them in a batch.
  2. Order them. The list shows each image; drag to reorder or use ↑ / ↓. Sort A→Z sorts by file name, which matches camera order for files like IMG_1043.jpg, IMG_1044.jpg.
  3. Pick page settings (below).
  4. Create PDF and download.

Page settings explained

Page size

  • Same as image – each page is exactly the size of its image. No white borders, no scaling. Best for viewing on screen and for scans that are already page-shaped.
  • A4 (210 × 297 mm) – the standard outside North America.
  • US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and US Legal (8.5 × 14 in) – for the US and Canada.
  • A5 – half of A4, handy for booklets and receipts.

On fixed sizes, each image is scaled to fit inside the page (never stretched or cropped) and centred.

Orientation

  • Automatic – portrait pages for tall images, landscape pages for wide ones.
  • Portrait or Landscape – force every page the same way, for a uniform printed document.

Margin

No margin, Small (0.25 in), Medium (0.5 in) or Large (1 in). Margins give printers room (most cannot print to the very edge) and make documents look neater.

Quality and file size

JPG photos are embedded without re-compression and PNGs losslessly, so the PDF looks exactly like your originals – and is about as large as the images combined. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF are converted to high-quality JPG (92%) because PDF has no native support for them. Twelve phone photos at 3–4 MB each make a 40 MB PDF, too large for many email services and portals. Two good options:

  • Before converting, reduce the photos with Compress Image (target size per image, e.g. 300 KB) or Resize Image (e.g. 1600 px wide). Documents remain perfectly readable.
  • After converting, run the PDF through Compress PDF.

Tips for document photos

  • Shoot from directly above in good light, with the page filling the frame.
  • Crop and straighten each photo with Crop Image first, so pages do not have table edges and shadows.
  • iPhone photos in HEIC format need converting first with HEIC to JPG.
  • Hide personal details you do not need to share; Blur Faces can also blur any area you drag over, such as an ID number.
  • Remove location data from photos you share as images with EXIF Remover. (Images placed into the PDF this way carry their pixels, not their GPS data, but the original files still contain it.)

Adding images to an existing PDF

Create a PDF from the images here, then combine it with your other document using Merge PDF, and rearrange the pages with Organize PDF. The reverse job – turning PDF pages into images – is PDF to JPG.

Privacy

Photos of ID cards, bank cards and signed forms are exactly the kind of files you should not upload to unknown servers. Here the PDF is created in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert several JPGs into one PDF?

Add all the images at once, put them in order and press Create PDF. Each image becomes a page in a single PDF.

Which page size should I choose?

Same as image keeps each photo's own shape with no white borders. Choose A4 or US Letter if the PDF will be printed or submitted to a form that expects standard pages.

What does Automatic orientation do?

It makes each page portrait or landscape to match the image, so wide photos are not shrunk onto a tall page.

Can I convert PNG or iPhone photos?

PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF work directly. Convert HEIC iPhone photos with HEIC to JPG first.

Will the images lose quality?

JPG images are embedded as they are, without re-compression, and PNGs are embedded losslessly. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF are converted to high-quality JPG (92%) first.

How do I make the PDF smaller?

Shrink the photos first with Compress Image or Resize Image, then create the PDF. Or run the finished PDF through Compress PDF.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is built on your device.
